Dear Parents,
Just a note to let you know what is happening in first grade.
This month for our reading log, we will be coloring in pumpkins. Remember, your child can color in one pumpkin for every day they read their Home Library Books to you. Also any extra 10 minutes of reading, they can color in another pumpkin. When they have colored in all the pumpkins, they may return the paper for a treat.
Birthdays this month are:   Alyssa's Oct. 8th,   Ashleigh's Oct. 14th,  Kolby's Oct. 17th, but we will celebrate on the 16th.
We will have Mystery Readers on Oct. 9th, Oct. 16th, and Oct. 23rd. The students have really enjoyed the Myster Readers so far. It is so much fun trying to guess who the readers will be.

Dear Parents,
Just a note to tell you what is happening in First Grade. We have Spelling and Math Homework every night except on Fridays. Please make sure your child brings back his/her homework each day.
When you read  with your child for 10 minutes, you may color in an acorn (September), when the chart is filled in send it back to school and your child will receive a prize for reading. The more a child reads the better reader they become.
If you would like to be a Mystery Reader, please give me a call. The children love to have people come to our class. Jocee's aunt came from St. George and read a book to the class. The students loved the story.
